Print Marketing Ideas for Local Businesses

Print Marketing Ideas for Local Businesses

Calling all local businesses! Do I have your attention? Great! Marketing can be tough; there’s so much to consider, and it is not always easy to decide what is best for your business. One thing you may want to consider is using print marketing to your advantage. As we continue to move into a predominantly digital marketing world, I can understand the hesitation which may come with this.

One of the main ways print marketing can benefit local businesses is the personal feel it brings. As a local business, you want to turn your fellow neighbors into your regular customers; the roots of what keeps your door open. We scroll constantly, but we don’t nearly as often get handed a flyer by someone with a smile. This direct and tangible approach can still be very effective; you successfully got their attention.

Another great way to utilize print marketing in promoting your business is signage. These can range from prints inside of your window, to signage installed on your building, or even yard signs at the corner. This is a great way to catch the attention of everyone passing by, which are the people most likely to become your regular customers. It is the perfect opportunity to gain their interest in what you offer or tell them what your business is; more than just a name and logo.

Print marketing can also provide a domino effect. For example, you handed out some cool looking stickers with your company’s name on it. One of those customers may put it on their water bottle then head into the office with it. Anyone who asks about the sticker or sees it, is also seeing your businesses name. Now let’s say the sticker and the outside of your building have something recognizable to that sticker. When they drive past, a connection is made.

Overall, it is important to remember that the print industry is alive and well. There is something so simple, yet so effective, about being handed a well-crafted business card, flyer or sticker. From the colors being used, to the message being portrayed, it sticks to your memory like glue. Remember that on your next walk around town.
